A Sacombank client in Hanoi named Hoang Minh Tam had 94 million VND withdrawn from his account by hackers. Another customer lost 500 million VND or 250 thousand USD to a cyber attack. Experts believe that hackers were able to launch these attacks by planting malicious codes into victims' computers.
For this reason, authorities organised a nation-wide drill in response to recent cyber attacks. The drill's aim is to minimise the damage inflicted by malware and malicious codes. Experts believe there are currently three categories for cyber attacks, malicious codes, malware and smartphone viruses.
