Prominent among them is the Hanoi cuisine cultural festival, which will open to visitors for free at Thong Nhat Park on October 5. The two-day event will feature 26 booths showcasing the signature dishes and unique culinary culture of the capital city.
Signature dishes of Hanoi will be introduced to visitors at the event, including pho, com (green sticky rice), xoi (steamed sticky rice), and gio cha (steamed ground meat).
The eighth Hanoi Stage Arts Festival is being held until October 9, providing performances by 10 art troupes at Cong Nhan and Dai Nam theatres. The plays are assorted in traditional art forms such as cai luong (reformed theatre) and cheo (traditional opera).
Marking the occasion, the final round of the Hanoi singing contest will be held on the evening of October 10 with the competition of the top 10 outstanding contestants.
