CPV Food Bình Phước has reached a total of 10,000 tons of processed chicken exports to Japan since 2022. The milestone highlights the strengthening agricultural partnership between the two countries under their new 2025–2030 cooperation framework.

CPV Food Bình Phước, a subsidiary of C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV), has achieved a significant milestone by exporting a cumulative 10,000 tons of processed chicken to Japan since officially entering the market in 2022. The accomplishment brings total export value to more than VND 1,700 billion during 2021–2025, reaffirming the company’s role among Vietnam’s leading poultry exporters.

The announcement was made at a ceremony attended by representatives from the Đồng Nai People’s Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Đồng Nai, Mr. Masuo Ono, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Tanaka Yusuke, First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam. Their participation underscored growing cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in agriculture and food trade.

Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, CEO of C.P. Vietnam, said the achievement demonstrates how Vietnam’s poultry products can meet Japan’s strict standards through technology and standardized processes.

"This success shows our integrated model can serve one of the world’s most demanding markets while enhancing Vietnam’s competitiveness in processed poultry exports," he noted.

The milestone comes as Vietnam and Japan deepen agricultural collaboration. In September 2025, both countries launched the third phase of their Medium- to Long-Term Vision for Agricultural Cooperation (2025–2030). Bilateral trade in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries has expanded from USD 3.02 billion in 2015 to approximately USD 4.9 billion in 2024.

At the event, Mr. Masuo Ono, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted the growing role of joint business initiatives in strengthening supply chains.

"I am pleased to see collaboration between C.P. Vietnam and Japanese partners developing steadily. The integrated production—from feed and poultry farming to processing—ensures products meet high hygiene and quality standards," he said.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hoàng, Vice Chairwoman of the Đồng Nai People’s Committee, commended the company’s contribution to local industry development.

"The fifth anniversary of CPV Food Bình Phước marks an important milestone in its growth. We hope the company continues promoting professionalism, supporting poultry farms, and maintaining strong commitments to food safety, green growth, and animal welfare," she said.

Established in December 2020 with a total investment of USD 250 million, CPV Food Bình Phước operates under a closed-loop production chain integrating feed production, breeding, hatchery, farming, slaughtering, processing, and by-product treatment. It can process up to 52 million broilers and 19,200 tons of chicken annually.

Beyond Japan, CPV Food’s processed chicken is exported to Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, and Mongolia, reflecting Vietnam’s growing capability to supply high-quality poultry to regional markets.

The 10,000-ton export milestone not only underscores Japan’s trust in Vietnamese poultry but also signals Vietnam’s progress in building internationally recognized agricultural standards, reinforcing its role in regional food supply chains.
