VTV.vn - The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Lam Dong Province held an urgent online meeting with localities in the province to take timely measures after officially recording the first Covid-19 case in the province.

Previously, a Covid-19 case (BN17951) who had returned from Ho Chi Minh City was recorded in Lam Dong Province. Test results on July 2 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Regarding this case, on the afternoon of July 2, the head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control in Lam Dong Province issued a decision to establish a medical isolation area for Phu Hoa Village, My Duc Commune, Da Teh District, including 171 households and 711 people. The quarantine period is from 6:30 pm on July 2 until further notice (minimum 14 days).

At the same time, implement social distancing under Directive No. 16 dated March 31, 2020, of the Prime Minister for My Duc Commune, Da Teh District, from 6:30 pm on July 2 until further notice.

According to the Da Teh District's steering committee for epidemic prevention and control, after having the results of a suspected Covid-19 case, the district directed relevant units and forces to conduct testing and trace. By the evening of July 2, two cases of F0, 30 F1 and 105 F2 were initially identified in Da Teh District. The cases have been isolated and tested according to regulations. The district has also directed localities and affiliated units to both ensure the production and supply of goods and ensure effective epidemic prevention and control.

Neighboring localities in Da Teh District have also urgently activated measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic, preventing the disease from spreading on a large scale.

* From 6 am on July 3, only three communes of Vinh Bao District, namely Ly Hoc, Cong Hien and Hoa Binh, continue to implement social distancing under PM's Directive No. 16/CT-TTg. The remaining communes of the district are implementing social distancing under PM's Directive 15/CT-TTg, dated March 27, 2020.

That is the direction of Hai Phong City People's Committee in Document No. 4372/UBND-VX dated July 2 on continuing to adjust a number of measures to prevent and control epidemics in Vinh Bao District.

This is also a solution to loosen epidemic prevention and control measures, contributing to stabilising people's lives and implementing socio-economic development. At the same time, the epidemic situation in Vinh Bao district has been basically controlled. Up to now, after more than a week of thorough tracing, blockade, social distancing and rapid testing, in the district, there have been no positive cases in the community.

* From June 24 to the morning of July 2, the whole province of Dong Thap had 92 cases and suspected cases. On the morning of July 2, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Dong Thap Province announced that Chau Thanh District recorded 10 cases and suspected cases.

On July 2, Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee (Dong Thap) Pham Tan Xieu signed a document on the application of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures.

Accordingly, the district is implementing 14-day social distancing activities across the district, from 12 pm on July 2. Specifically: not to gather more than three people outside of offices, schools, and hospitals; and to keep a minimum distance of 2m when communicating. All people must stay at home, are allowed to work, produce at home, and harvest agricultural products in groups of each household in the local garden and production area; and must only go out when absolutely necessary.

* From July 3, the Dong Nai health sector started taking samples for testing and screening for nearly 80,000 people in the blockade areas in Thong Nhat District. In addition to the medical force of some facilities, 70 teachers and students of Dong Nai Medical College were mobilised to assist in taking samples.

In order to meet the increasing treatment of Covid-19 patients in the area, the Department of Health of Dong Nai Province is preparing the conditions to convert the function of the province's Dermatology Hospital into the second Covid-19 treatment hospital of the province.

* According to the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Phu Yen Province, in the past 24 hours, from 5pm on July 1 to 5pm on July 2, there were 19 more cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, bringing the total number of infections in Phu Yen in the past 10 days to 197 cases.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee decided to support human resources, medical supplies, chemicals for epidemic prevention and control for Phu Yen Province.
