COP22 concludes

VTV.vn - The 22nd Conference of Parties of the UN Framework on Climate Change (COP22) concluded at Marrakech, Morocco today (Nov 18th).

On the last working day, representatives of nearly 200 countries signed the Marrakech Declaration. The declaration is proof that global warming has become much more serious than ever. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Vo Tuan Nhan shared Vietnam's viewpoint about climate change and called other countries to fulfill their commitments to the Paris Agreement including technology transfer and climate change mitigation capacity improvement. He also affirmed that Vietnam's target is to reduce greenhouse gas emmissons by 8% with its own resources and by 25% with international support.
