The conferences within the framework of the ASEAN Summit took place in the Thai capital of Bangkok on Thursday. As planned today, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) are meeting to discuss preparations for the 34th ASEAN Summit.
The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the 34th ASEAN Summit is expected to emphasize a human-centered ASEAN Community with the purpose of leaving no one behind and looking forward to the future. It is expected that by the end of the conference, there will be a joint statement on the leaders' vision for sustainability and an action plan to address sea pollution issues as well as drafting a framework of ideas related to the Indo-Pacific concept.
