VTV.vn - A conference was held in Hanoi on December 30 to review the mass mobilisation work in 2020 and deploy tasks for 2021.

Speaking at the event, Politburo member Mai affirmed that the mass mobilisation work has seen positive achievements in 2020 as the country has fundamentally contained the COVID-19 pandemic and promptly responded to natural disasters and climate change.

As the domestic and global situations are predicted to see many complicated developments in 2021, she stressed that the mobilisation work need to work harder to serve people and timely address any arising concerns among people.

She asked heads of mass mobilisation committees across the country to implementation of grassroots democracy regulations and thoroughly grasp the situation of their localities while paying greater attention to caring for locals’ livelihoods.

Delegates at the event contributed their opinions to better the mass mobilisation work in the coming time, including strengthening dialogue with people from all walks of life, and promoting the role of fatherland fronts in supervising the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations.

They emphasised the need to enhance mass mobilisation work in the political system, particularly in State-run administrative agencies.

The mass mobilisation work must also focus on building trust and consensus among the public in order to consolidate the national great unity bloc, thus encouraging people to follow Party guidelines and State laws and policies, and contributing to the national socio-economic development.
