VTV.vn - Archaeologists from all over Vietnam came together at a conference in Hue city, Thua Thien – Hue province, on September 29, to exchange their latest findings in 2018.

This year's conference has received over 356 articles focusing on the main contents, including Prehistoric Archeology, Historical Archeology, Archeology of the Champa - Oc Eo, and Archeology under the water.

In particular, the results of the archaeological excavations at the complex of relics dating back to the early Stone Age, in the town of An Khe in Gia Lai province, were considered as the oldest opening of the human and cultural heritage in the territory of Vietnam. These archaeological findings have rocked archaeologists, changing the view of many scientists around the world.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Giang Hai, who is Director of Vietnamese Institute of Archaeology, said that, in the near future, the Institute of Archeology will continue to cooperate with Russian archaeologists to promote the scientific value of the early Stone Age in An Khe area, Gia Lai province. In addition, the institute will coordinate with UNESCO experts to develop underwater archeology. The study on ADN in archeology will bring great value to determine the true origin of the ancient people.

The event is a scientific forum for scientists to share research results and an opportunity for scientists, especially young scientists, to approach, learn and perfect their scientific research capacity.
