VTV.vn - A week after the historic floods struck Phu Yen district in Son La province, 4 communes and 13 villages in the area remain isolated.

Routes leading to these areas have been cut off due to landslides, which brought down tens of thousands of cubic metres of rock and soil.

This has significantly deterred post-flood rescue efforts – particularly the transportation of injured persons to the nearest medical facilities.

Phu Yen district has 8 cement bridges and 9 hanging bridges that have been damaged or swept away by the floods. A total of 109 kilometers of the district’s roads have also been damaged.
