Commercial banks requested to control risk in corporate bond investment
VTV.vn - In the first 6 months of 2019, the total value of corporate bonds was about 5.1 billion US dollars, a 7% increase compared to the same period last year.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has requested commercial banks to control risks in corporate bond investment, especially in the real estate sector.

The sector issued 970 million US dollars in the year's first half, accounting for 19%. The average interest rate of the bond is between 9.5 and 11% per year. However, a few companies offer up to 14.5% per year.

PVcombank, MBBank, and VPBank own 22 to 57 million US dollars of corporate bonds. In the first half, commercial banks bought about 12% of the corporate bonds. The real estate market still hasn't fully recovered and businesses are facing many challenges./.
