Cold spell continues to hit North

VTV.vn - Northern provinces of Vietnam are experiencing the coldest days of this winter as a cold spell continues to hit the region.

On Monday night, temperatures plunged by 4-8 degrees Celsius compared to the night before. At 1 am, temperatures in Moc Chau, Sa Pa, Bac Ha, Tam Dao were at 2-5 degrees.

Phia Oac Mount in Cao Bang District, with an altitude of 1938 m, also reported temperatures below 0 degrees and frost that has attracted many tourists. What's worse is that temperatures may even get lower on Tuesday night as another cold spell makes its way over. As forecast, temperatures in lowland areas will range from 8 to 11 degrees Celsius, 4 to 7 degrees in mountainous areas and lower than 3 in the region's high points. Frost is very likely to occur. The cold weather is expected to last until February 9th.
