VTV.vn - The severe cold spell is going to continue in the northern region of Vietnam, while heavy rains will hit the central region this afternoon.

Early this morning, the temperatures in the northern region were between 5 to 9 degrees Celsius, with the exception of minus 1 at Mẫu Sơn mountain peak, which is covered with frost.

The cold spell is expected to last for 4 more days, with possible frost, snow and rain. Heavy rain is expected from Thừa Thiên Huế to Bình Thuận provinces, which can cause flash floods, landslides and inundation.
