Since 2pm yesterday, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Da Nang have asked people to avoid beaches. Over 33,000 of 41,000 vessels have returned to shore. Local authorities have asked other vessels still at sea to find to safe havens. Rainfall is forecasted to reach 150 to 200 millimetres and provinces need to take measures to prepare for landslides and flooding. The steering committee required localities to send staff to direct traffic in flood areas. School students in Da Nang city have been advised to stay at home.
