Initiated since 2011, the project has been a joint effort by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and Korean Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
It incorporates vocational training, consulting services and job creation for women to promoting gender equality in the society.
It also introduces the piloting model of Vocational Training Centre for Vietnamese Women in Can Tho, Thai Binh and Quang Nam provinces.
After 5 years, the project has provided training for more than 400 local officials in terms of professions so that they can operate the model themselves. Vocational training classes have also be held for more than 1,800 women while over 3,000 jobs have been created for women in these 3 localities.
