Politburo member Mai wished Catholic dignitaries and followers good health and a peaceful Christmas season. She also took this occasion to thank them for the solidarity and contributions of Catholics and Protestants to national achievements over the years.
She said she hopes the Archdiocese’s will work more closely with government authorities to jointly address people’s concerns and develop the city, to bring about a prosperous and happy life for the locals, including Catholics.
On the same day, Politburo member Mai visited and extended Christmas greetings to the Xuan Loc Archdiocese in Long Khanh City, in the southern province of Dong Nai.
During Christmas visits the same day to Catholic followers in Ninh Kieu District, leaders of Can Tho City asked local dignitaries, ministries, priests, Catholics, and Protestants to further promote patriotism and unity and to strictly abide by the Law on Belief and Religion while contributing to the city’s development.
