Vietnamese Culture Week in Cambodia

VTV.vn - A Vietnamese Culture Week was kicked off in Phnom Penh by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) in collaboration with the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.

The event is part of the culture and fine art cooperation plan between the two countries for the 2018-2022 period.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Cambodian Minister of Cults and Religion Him Chhem, Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Phoeurng Sackona, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh and many visitors and overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai said that the relationship between the two countries is growing and achieving significant results in the fields of politics, economics, culture and education, bringing practical benefits to the people of both countries.

Special art performances showcasing Vietnamese cultural identities will be presented by artists from the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, the Vietnam National Academy of Music, and the Vietnam Circus Federation. Afterwards, the Vietnamese artists will arrive in Battambang for more performances.
