Cham people celebrate Ramadan

VTV.vn - The Chăm people that follow the Bani and Islam religions in Ninh Thuan are currently preparing for the traditional Ramadan festival, which begins on September 1st of the Islamic calendar or March 23rd.

From March 21st, dignitaries of Chăm Bani villages will begin fasting. People the age of 15 and above who belong to the Chăm Islam community will also begin their fasting month.

\ The Ramadan festival of the Chăm Bani and Chăm Islam people, or the Ka-te ceremony of the Chăm Brahmins, is an occasion for families to gather and pay tribute to their ancestors.
