As rain began to decrease on Wednesday, the extent of the damage has started to be revealed, including the 17,000 hectares of rice and 1,500 hectares of other crops completely destroyed due to prolonged flooding. Meanwhile, numerous canals and irrigation systems in Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh are damaged. Reports have also revealed 17 casualties due to flooding in the two central provinces. To limit further casualties, local authorities are making efforts to restore the irrigation systems, provide food and water to every household and closely monitor how local people commute in heavily flooded regions.
