Every stream and river in Krong District is running dry. People are travelling as far as they can to find fresh water, while the local authorities are finding ways to deal with the severity of the situation.
Ba River, the main water source of Gia Lai Province, is also drying up. This situation is having a dramatic effect on the agricultural production of Central Highland provinces. An immediate solution needs to be worked out to tackle this increasingly tragic situation.
