Caution for possible rain and floods in the North

According to the forecast today, rain intensity will decrease in the northern region. However, from Sunday to Monday, there will be big rainstorms in the region, mostly in the northwest and Viet Bac area. Total rain precipitation is forecasted to range from 100 to 200 milimetres, and 300 milimetres in some localities. People are advised to watch for floods and landslides in Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Bac Can and Lang Sơn provinces. From now till June 20th, there is a chance that floods will occur on the Thao, Lo, Bang Giang and Ky Cung rivers, and fill up the reservoirs in the upper course of the Red River.
