VTV.vn - Candidates in blocked areas that are applying social distancing measures will be recognised as having graduated from the high school without attending the 2021 national high school graduation exams.

This is specified in a new dispatch from the Ministry of Education and Training sent to the local authorities and Departments of Education and Training in provinces and cities across the nation.

In the document, the ministry stated that candidates eligible to take the exams in the second phase but who cannot sit the exams due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic will be considered recognised as having graduated from high school, if they are in infected with COVID-19 or in close contact to infections, or living in places where social distancing orders are being applied according to Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister and places being blocked for COVID-19 prevention and control at the request of the health sector.

The ministry also asked for close coordination among relevant departments, agencies and sectors to focus on carefully reviewing the conditions to organise the second round of the graduation exams, meeting the requirements of COVID-19 prevention and control, ensuring the health and safety of candidates and exam participants.

The 2nd phase of the 2021 national high school graduation exams will be held on August 6 and 7.

Meanwhile, candidates sitting the first phase earlier this month can soon look up for their results, expected to be announced on July 26.
