The campaign entitled “Ho Chi Minh City – 50-yearproud epic” will invite entries in diverse genres and forms of music, cinema, stage, architecture, and dance.
According to Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Tran The Thuan, the campaign aims to promote the creative capacity of writers and artists to compose valuable literature and art works while praising the struggle for national liberation as well as the construction and development of a civilised andmodern Ho Chi Minh City.
Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai said that with their creative work, writers and artists have always accompanied the city in its construction and development cause.
He noted that the campaign will be an opportunity for authors to look back and reflect on the beauty and efforts in the life and culture of Ho Chi Minh City over the past 50 years.
The results of the campaign will be announced on April 30, 2025.
Vietnamese citizens and foreigners who are living in Vietnam are eligible for submitting their entries in different categories.
Scripts, literary and artistic works must be published between January 1, 2022 and April 30, 2024 and only those which have not won any contests will be eligible .
