Cambodia: 50 years of comprehensive cooperation

High ranking officials from both sides attended the event. In her opening speech, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that the establishment of diplomatic ties is a symbol of friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia, and has created favourable conditions for the peoples of the two countries to assist each other in their struggles for freedom and independence. Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin expressed deep gratitude for Vietnam's support for Cambodia's building and developing of the country. He believes that the next generations will continue to treasure and enhance the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
