VTV.vn - The August cabinet meeting issued an upbeat assessment on the country’s socio-economic situation in the first eight months of the year, claiming all the Vietnam’s major targets would be met.

Recent unpredictable changes in the world economy have had a significant impact on Vietnam, presenting both opportunities and challenges which meant that closer attention would be needed to ensure that tasks were completed PM Dung commented.

The prime minister also requested that the cabinet members closely monitor the conditions of the global and domestic economies, especially the dynamics of those countries that have a major impact on Vietnam, in order to apply fiscal, monetary and other policies to achieve the objectives set at the beginning of the year.
