After a year of construction, the Ca Mau – Dat Mui expressway is expected to cut travel times between Cau Mau and Dat Mui and support development linked to projects on Hon Khoai Island.
Spanning over 80 km with four lanes and a total investment of nearly 2.26 billion USD, the expressway is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.
Construction is advancing on multiple fronts, including soft-soil treatment, roadbed filling and culvert works. Overall progress has reached more than 12% of the contract value.
Other component projects are also being accelerated, with major bridge structures taking shape. But shortages of construction materials and frequent rainfall continue to pose challenges.
