Buddhist study centre to be built

A ceremony to announce the prime ministerial decision on Tran Nhan Tong Institute's establishment was held in Hanoi on Wednesday by Vietnam National University. Tran Nhan Tong Institute aims at implementing training and research activities not only on King Tran Nhan Tong's Buddhist studies but also on the Tran dynasty, Buddhism, Vietnamese Buddhism and its impact on Vietnam's socio-political life.

Tran Nhan Tong Institute's training and research activities, especially, the doctoral programme in Buddhist Studies is set to start this September.
