Speaking at the ceremony, Cherry Gough, Country Director of British Council Vietnam, said that ISA is a global accreditation program that recognises good practice in incorporating an international dimension into schools, and was implemented in more than 5.200 schools across the world.
The ISA accreditation process has an action planning stage, followed by compilation of evidence, and then submission of an evaluation. It takes approximately fifteen months to complete. Successful schools are accredited for three years.
The award was created in 1999 by the British Council- an organisation which creates cultural and educational opportunities worldwide, by building trust and links between people and nations.
