The 540-billion-VND (22.4-million-USD) bridge, whose construction began in December 2021, has total length of 509 metres, featuring four lanes.
The bridge connects Phu Tho’s Viet Tri City with Vinh Phuc’s Song Lo District at the site of the current Duc Bac Wharf, which is expected to shorten the travel time and promote economic exchange between the two provinces and throughout the wider region.
Nguyen Van Viet, a Phu Tho resident, said the bridge is highly significant to the people of both provinces as they no longer need to wait for the ferry.
