The Russian-language book gathered articles by Russian, French, Japanese and Vietnamese scientists who participated in an international roundtable conference in May 2021. The articles analysed the outcomes of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), an event which is considered a new milestone in the history of the Vietnamese Party.
The book is divided into three parts. The first part analyses the CPV’s domestic and foreign policies, strategies and ideological guidelines. The second part discusses socio-economic and demographic trends, as well as outcomes, development prospects, and challenges facing the CPV. The last part investigates Vietnam’s cultural policy and the role of the CPV in patriotic education among youth.
According to Prof. Dr. Vladimir Mazyrin, Director of the Centre for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies, under the Institute for Far Eastern Studies, the publication provided a multi-dimensional analysis of the results of the 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
It also offered a comprehensive assessment of the CPV’s key policies over the past five years as well as during the 35-year Doi Moi (Renewal) process, which received positive appreciation from the majority of foreign experts.
