Vietnam ranks second in the number of foreign brides in South Korea. The reason behind this figure was revealed in a book published by Dr. Tran Thi Thu Luong, Director of Korean Studies under the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In her book, the author explained that Vietnam and Korea both treasure family values. So both Vietnamese women and Korean men share the same values to build their family on. This was agreed upon by many Koreans.
