The programme, which will run through this year, includes various activities to promote Quy Nhon city and Binh Dinh province in general as a safe, friendly and attractive destination for visitors.
More than 50 local travel businesses have registered to join the programme by offering visitors with attractive discounts from 10% to 50% on transport services, restaurant and hotel rates, and entrance fees to local places of interest.
In addition, the provincial tourism sector has also designed new tourist products which focus on the traditional culture and history of Binh Dinh to attract more visitors to the province.
According to the provincial tourism department, Binh Dinh received around 814,500 visitors and gained VND985 billion in tourism revenue in the first five months of this year, down 61% and 55.6% compared to the same period last year, respectively.
In a similar move to boost tourism sector after COVID-19, the authorities of Da Nang city have decided to offer free entrance fees to several tourist attractions in the city for three months, from June 1 to August 31.
The tourist attractions include Five Marble Mountains, Museum of Cham Sculpture, Da Nang Museum and Da Nang Fine Arts Museum.
