Vietnam’s participation in free trade agreements has spurred on an increase in foreign investment in the textile industry. Several Belgium tech firms recently visited Vietnam to seek co-operation opportunities.
This representative from Europlasma tech firm is presenting their nano-coating solution at a forum between Belgian tech enterprises and Vietnamese textile firms held in Hanoi on Tuesday. One of their latest technologies is a solution for durable water repellent treatment for sporting goods. Seeing the potential of Vietnam’s textile market, especially as several big foreign shoemakers have been shifting productions to Vietnam, Europlasma came to Vietnam to introduce their products to local textile and apparel enterprises.
Europlasma is just one of 15 leading Belgian tech firms with textile solutions have come to Vietnam, with a hope of seeking co-operation opportunities while learning more about the demand of Vietnam’s textile market. As the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement takes effect, businesses from both countries will benefit from this agreement.
