Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival opens

Delegates, Buddhist dignitaries and followers, as well as visitors offered incense and prayed for a peaceful new year. On the first 5 days of the new lunar year, Bai Dinh Pagoda welcomed a record number of more than 300 thousand visitors.

The original 1,000-year- old Bai Dinh Pagoda is part of the Trang An Landscape Complex recognized as a world cultural and natural heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The pagoda is around 800 meters from the Tam The Temple in the new Bai Dinh Pagoda area.

The festival will go on until the end of March.
