The sale of lychees has gone smoothly, with the fruits sold at favourable prices. The total revenue from lychees and ancillary services was 300 million USD, 26 million higher than last season.
According to Bac Giang's Department of Industry and Trade, more than 164,000 tons of lychees were sold. The average price was 1.36 USD per kilogram. Domestic consumption of lychees has increased and accounted for 52.5% of total consumption, while 47.5% were exported.
This year, apart from the traditional markets such as China and the European Union, 200 tons of Bac Giang lychees were exported to Japan for the first time.
