According to Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, such incidents have never occurred in recent years.
Reports by Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam showed that from January 1st to January 8th, China has operated 46 flights in the Ho Chi Minh Flight Information Region without providing any flight plan or maintaining any radio contact with Ho Chi Minh Area Control Center. According to Director of Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Lại Xuân Thanh, records stored by radar could not identify the exact departure location of these planes. However, Vietnam submitted a report to the International Civil Aviation Organisation regarding this issue, claiming it poses serious threats to air safety in the region. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also informed neighbouring countries of the incidents, to avoid the violation of civil aviation regulations.
