To tackle this issue, on Sunday, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organized a conference, with the attendance of representatives from 6 provinces, to discuss sustainable shrimp farming. According to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, Vietnam's shrimp industry has been affected by the 15% increase in global shrimp supply, due to increased production in Thailand, India, Ecuador and other countries. Meanwhile, demand has only risen by 5%, leading to a reduction in the price of material shrimp fell. However, the price is expected to rise again in August and September, when harvest season in other countries is expected to end.
