This is seen as an effective way to help Vietnamese enterprises improve their competitiveness and integrate better into the global economy.
The ASEAN Single Window (ASW) is a unique regional initiative that connects and integrates National Single Windows (NSWs) of member states. The objective of the ASW is to expedite cargo clearance. By 2016 Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand had implemented the ASW.
This will not only benefit individual countries, but also enterprises participating in the ASEAN Single Window.
For Vietnam, this will be an opportunity to increase exports of goods Vietnam in ASEAN.
