7 ASEAN member country ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) joined hands to host a ceremony dedicated to this milestone.The event drew the attention of the local authorities and press.
These 7 ASEAN countries currently have a combined population of 750,000 citizens currently working and living in the UAE. This reflects the strong bond that the ASEAN region has with the UAE. Increased collaboration is forecasted for the prospering ASEAN-UAE partnership.
The Thai Ambassador to the UAE, also the ASEAN Committee Chair in this country, took this opportunity to emphasize the significance ASEAN attaches to its ties with the UAE. The ceremony was another showcase of ASEAN cultural diversity and beauty to the Middle Eastern community.
