his event is considered a milestone in ASEAN as ASEAN leaders will sign the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the establishment of the ASEAN community after 48 years of collaboration among 10 member countries. After the summit, the ASEAN community will be founded on Dec 31st.
Also at event, ASEAN leaders will also sign the Declaration on ASEAN 2025. Based on this 10-year vision, ASEAN will develop a framework for continuous development that will help unite and integrate further the member countries. It is also a vision that will enable ASEAN citizens to participate in the direction established by the leaders of ASEAN for its growth and development.
