The event was hosted by the city’s Department of Culture and Tourism to honour those who have been working on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19.
The solidarity, strong will and consensus of Hanoi people has made the city a “bright spot” in the battle against the epidemic. Thousands of doctors and thousands of policemen and soldiers, who have not been home for months, have braved danger and difficulties to contribute their helping hands in the prevention and control of COVID-19.
The art programme featured newly composed songs highlighting the silent contributions and tremendous efforts made by medical staff, soldiers and police forces to suppress the outbreak.
There were also songs and dances recalling the capital city’s cultural traditions and its glorious days during wartime in the past
The performances also hymned the solidarity of Vietnamese people in the fight against the epidemic.
