VTV.vn - An art programme entitled ‘Pride of the city named after Uncle Ho’ was held on July 2, marking 44 years since Saigon-Gia Dinh City was officially named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976-2020).

Taking place on the pedestrian street of Nguyen Hue in Ho Chi Minh City, the programme was arranged into three parts recalling historical periods of time in the city, from the wartime to its construction after the war to its robust development today.

Performances highlighted the significant achievements made by the municipal Party committee, authorities and people over the past 44 years.

The city’s development journey was also depicted through songs and dances within the programme.

In addition, audiences were entertained with circus acts, martial arts performances, and stage plays.

The event brought together both veterans and young talented artists on the stage, including Cam Van, Quoc Hung, Ai Phuong, Trong Hieu and Vo Ha Tram.
