Archaeological finds cast new light on Hanoi Citadel

VTV.vn - The Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre and Institute of Archaeology made a joint announcement on their research into digs at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and Kinh Thien Palace area, yesterday morning, December 14th.

The research revealed important discoveries, which have helped provide a greater understanding about the history of these historical sites.

In addition to the discoveries mentioned, a number of artifacts are also found, including construction material and ceramic glazes which date back prior to the 10th century from the Dai La period  to Nguyen Dynasty in the 19th century. This helps to high light the long-standing importance of the site. The Thang Long. Thang Long - Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Centre intends to publish the results during the Tet holiday this year.
