The organisation estimates that 2017's aquaculture export turnover is to reach 7.4 billion USD, based on research on major consumption markets. In 2016, Vietnamese aquaculture products managed to penetrate 161 countries and territories.
Among the exported products, Vietnamese shrimp proved to be the most profitable with over 3.1 billion USD in export turnover. The second most profitable product turned in 1.7 billion USD.
