The rail operator announced that several trains running before and after Tet will have additional carriages installed to meet the increased demand during Vietnam’s most important festival of the year.
Passengers will be provided with an additional 1,200 seats and 418 sleeping berths on Ho Chi Minh City-bound trains from January 13 to February 3 while the same will be added to Hanoi-bound trains from January 15 to February 5.
Tickets can be bought directly from ticket counters at railway stations, on Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) websites, and through electronic wallet apps on mobile devices.
Passengers can also book their tickets at the VNR’s ticket agencies or from customer service at 19000109.
According to Haraco, 793 trains will be operating on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City line during Tet, equivalent to 350,000 seats.
