VTV.vn - Analog television signals will be switched off in 15 cities and provinces starting today, August 15th, as part of the terrestrial television digitalisation project of the Ministry of Information and Communication.

The provinces affected by the change are Quảng Ninh, Thái Nguyên, Nam Định, Thái Bình, Ninh Bình, Bắc Giang, Phú Thọ, Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu, Bình Thuận, Đồng Nai, Long An, Bến Tre, Đồng Tháp, An Giang, and Tiền Giang.

The project's steering committee has requested TV stations to regularly inform their viewers of the change through messages that will appear at the bottom of the screen.

It is recommended that viewers get their own digital terrestrial television receivers before the analog signal is switched off.

The coverage of the digital television enables TV viewers to enjoy 26-70 channels, including high-fidelity ones.
