VTV.vn - The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) proposed that the Ministry of Transport increase the frequency of domestic flights and remove the distance between seats on aircraft to ease the difficulties for airlines affected by COVID-19.

Accordingly, the agency asked the Transport Ministry to allow airlines to transport passengers in accordance with the configuration of the aircraft from May 5.

In addition, the CAAV suggested maintaining a distance of 1m between passengers when conducting aviation procedures, security screening, and queuing at airports (the current distance is 2m).

The CAAV also proposed that the Ministry of Transport should adjust the time for applying the regulations on the allocation of domestic route frequency.

The agency suggested increasing the number of flights to 52 per day between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and to 20 flights per day between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang from May 5.

Flights to other routes should be adjusted according to the demands of airlines.
