The joint statement passed at the event concerned politics and security, economics, culture and society; showing the determination of ASEAN to establish the ASEAN Community by the end of this year. Vietnam played an active role in contributing to the success of AIPA 36.
The 36th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly reached consensus on many important issues showing the determination of member countries in bringing the ASEAN Community into reality at the tail-end of this year.
