AI Hackathon 2024 includes three groups: Group A for primary school students, Group B for secondary school students, and Group C for high school students.
In Group A, contestants will use programming languages and artificial intelligence to create smart applications to help protect the environment.
While contestants in Group B and C will use artificial intelligence to analyse images from cameras to program robots to solve tasks on a sand table.
Students register to compete in teams, each team has a maximum of three students, each school registers a maximum of three teams.
Sharing at the launch ceremony, Tran Ninh Dong, Deputy Head of the Department of Intellectual Property Management and Innovation under the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "The competition is an opportunity for students to share their knowledge and understanding of the fields of STEM, robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), while practicing creative thinking and problem solving."
Through the theme "Protecting the green planet", the Organising Committee encourages students to create useful solutions to solve environmental, health, food, clean water, resources, and energy problems.
This is also an opportunity for young people to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection and the responsibility of each individual in building a safer, greener, cleaner, and more beautiful and modern future world.
The best contestants of the AI Hackathon 2024 will have the opportunity to receive a certificate from the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, along with many attractive prizes from the Organising Committee and accompanying units with a total value of more than 200 million VND.
AI Hackathon 2024 officially opens for registration from September 14 to 25, 2024, the competition takes place from September 29 to November 16.
