Over the past few days, the northern provinces of Vietnam have experienced some of the most severe storms and floods in recent years. In response to the needs of those affected, Vietnam Television will broadcast a live program titled "Vietnam's Support". Through deeply touching and authentic stories, the program sends the message that HUMANITY can help us overcome the most difficult times.
Authentic – Stories from the Middle of the Storms and Floods
"Vietnam's Support" will bring real-life stories and vivid, authentic images from the midst of the storms and floods, where people are grappling with the pain and devastation caused by nature.
The program will feature local government representatives, residents from disaster-hit areas, and members of the rescue teams who have been tirelessly working to help the public. Live updates from flood-stricken hotspots like Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, and Quang Ninh will help viewers understand the magnitude of destruction brought by Typhoon Yagi, which caused thousands of homes to be destroyed and left many people homeless.

Emotional – The Pain and Selfless Sacrifice
Natural disasters often bring great pain and loss, which will also be reflected in "Vietnam's Support". The program will show scenes of entire villages swept away by floods, children who have lost loved ones, and families torn apart. These heartbreaking realities will be shared through reports and live interviews, both in person and online.
The show will also highlight the selfless efforts of the armed forces and the people in disaster-stricken areas. An outstanding example is Captain Nguyen Dinh Khiem, Commander of Company 3, Battalion 1, Brigade 513, Military Region 3, who heroically sacrificed his life during a rescue mission in the aftermath of Typhoon No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi) in Luc Hon Commune, Binh Lieu District, Quang Ninh Province.

These sacrifices not only evoke deep sympathy and tears but also serve as a powerful source of inspiration, illustrating humanity’s resilience in times of hardship.
Admiration – The Dedication and Innovation of Rescue Forces
One of the highlights of "Vietnam's Support" is the recognition of the dedication and bravery of rescue workers, including the military, police, and volunteers. In the darkest moments, these individuals went into the most dangerous areas, even when the threat was still imminent, to help their fellow citizens. It was at these moments that the intelligence and determination of the Vietnamese people shone through, as innovative methods were developed to quickly locate survivors and deliver aid to those in need.

Hope – A Pillar of Unity and a Vision for the Future
In the face of these challenges, the spirit of community support has emerged strongly. Large donations, trucks filled with food, clothing, and essential supplies, and thousands of volunteers have arrived, ready to lend a hand. Organizations and agencies have also stepped up to sponsor children orphaned by the storm. These bright spots of generosity will be highlighted throughout the program.
Moving – Art Performances That Touch the Heart
Despite being planned and executed in a record-breaking three days, "Vietnam's Support" has garnered the participation of Vietnam's leading artists.
