According to the agreement, the two organisations will support Vietnamese co-operatives on industry, finance, trade, services and especially agriculture with a focus on vocational training, finding markets and ensuring outlets in the next 2 years. The agreement will facilitate the new co-operative model which will be implemented from July 1st. There are currently nearly 20,000 co-operatives in Vietnam providing jobs for more than 30 million people in rural areas.
